The FAA has granted Pro Star Aviation&nbsp;approval for an amendment to a supplemental type certificate (STC) that allows it&nbsp;to install a universal antenna mount (UAM) and lower fuselage radome&nbsp;on several Textron Aviation aircraft, including the Beechcraft King Air 350 and 350C.


Through the amendment, operational configurations were expanded to allow up to four antennas on the UAM without a radome. Also, visual inspection intervals on the UAM were increased to 800 hours (Phase 4 inspection). An optional design for aircraft pressure feed-through panels was added, meaning that the panels could be removed from the aircraft interior without removing the UAM and radome. Last, the amendment incorporates deviations found in follow-on installations in radome mounting points caused by variations in aircraft production.
