Gulfstream G280 Sets New Speed Record

Gulfstream Aerospace’s G280 recently set a new speed record by completing a flight from Carlsbad, California, to Kalaoa, Hawaii, in 4 hours and 47 minutes. The super-midsize business jet flew at Mach 0.84 to cover the 2,257 nm (4,180 km) from McClellan-Palomar Airport to Kona International Airport. The G280 can fly 3,600 nm (6,667 km) at Mach 0.80.
