The FAA has approved Ruag Aviation to provide maintenance for U.S.-registered Gulfstream G550s at its facilities in Munich, Germany. This follows the recent Part 145 approval from the European Aviation Safety Agency for the same model. Approved maintenance includes avionics, cabin interior design and refurbishment, aircraft painting and in-flight entertainment.

Ruag Aviation is already an approved Part 145 EASA maintenance organization, Part 21/J EASA design organization and Part 21/G EASA production organization. With locations in North America, Brazil, Europe, Asia and Australia, the Switzerland-based group also is an authorized service center for manufacturers including Airbus Helicopters, Bell, Bombardier, Cessna, Dassault, Embraer, Sikorsky and Piper.
