Amac Signs More Contracts For Widebody Maintenance
Specializing in bizliner maintenance and refurbishment, buisness is booming for the Swiss MRO provider.
Aircraft the size of Boeing's BBJ and Airbus' ACJ are easily accommodated by Amac's massive hangars at Switzerland's EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse.

MRO and completions provider Amac Aerospace has received four new contracts for work on bizliner-class aircraft. The Basel, Switzerland-based company will soon welcome a privately owned Airbus A340 to its facility for an A-check package, and it has begun a heavy C-check, along with a partial cabin removal and landing gear overhaul, on an A319.

In the coming weeks, a head-of-state, widebody A340 will receive a heavy C-check inspection as well, with a Ka-band communications system installation. It will be joined by a privately owned Boeing Business Jet that will also be receiving the Ka-band upgrade. Amac developed the STC for both installations. The Swiss company has nearly 304,000 sq feet of hangar space at EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse, in addition to another 70,000 sq ft of shop and office space.
