In Fort Worth, Texas, a nonprofit museum is literally turning a little trainer into a big one. The Eagle Flying Museum at Spinks airport (KFWS) is raffling off a refurbished Cessna 150, equipped with a Garmin G5 3.5-inch sunlight-readable LCD display approved as a primary source for aircraft attitude information and capable of serving as a secondary source for altitude, airspeed and vertical speed. The little trainer is on the block to raise money for the museum’s youth education programs. This time the museum is teaming up with Build a Plane, which has a formal partnership with the FAA to provide actual aircraft building and restoration projects across the U.S. 
Eagle Flying Museum has dibs on a classic Boeing Stearman restoration project for its kids. “We are excited to have the chance to start a lifetime love affair in aviation for kids,” said Scott Purdue, executive director at the museum. Tickets ($50) are available online at the <a href="../Martha/eagleflyingmuseum.org">museum’s website</a> (eagleflyingmuseum.org). To promote the event, the museum is providing local youth with EAA Young Eagles first flights in the Cessna 150, as well as in the museum’s own restored Boeing Stearman, dressed in World War II regalia. 
Lynn Freeman, founder of Build a Plane, said, “The Eagle Flying Museum is doing a great, creative job funding their project. We’re excited for them.” Second prize in the raffle is a Lightspeed Zulu 2 ANR headset and third prize is a King Schools digital ground school of the winner’s choice.
