Gulfstream G280 Logs Speed Record En Route to London

Super-midize jet completed the 3,377-nm/6,254-km journey in exactly seven hours, at an average speed of Mach 0.82.

A Gulfstream G280 recently set a speed record between Grand Rapids, Mich., and Luton, England, completing the flight in exactly seven hours, the Savannah, Ga.-based aircraft manufacturer announced on Thursday. This boosts the super-midsize jet’s record-setting tally to 54.
