Kerry Lynch stepped into the role of editor of the&nbsp;Aviation International News&nbsp;monthly magazine in May 2022 after serving with&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;for eight years. She joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in December 2014 as a senior editor covering Washington and business aviation news. She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003, 2024). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

Gulfstream Aerospace (Booth S141) is continuing to build up its product support in Europe as its London Luton service center experienced its busiest year yet in 2015. Gulfstream president Mark Burns is upbeat about the services opportunities in the region to keep up with a fleet that has grown by 24 percent in Europe over the last five years. “We had a strong year in services,” he said, pointing to the more than 1,300 on-site visits at the 120,000-square-foot (11,148-square-meter) Luton center.

 


In addition, Luton technicians and members of Gulfstream’s European-based Field and Airborne Support Teams (FAST) performed more than 750 road trips last year to customers throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

 


To accommodate this increased demand for support throughout Europe, the company named Jet Aviation’s service center in Vienna and Altenrhein Aviation’s new Berlin line maintenance operation as authorized maintenance sites. The company noted that more than 30 of the 220 Gulfstreams in Europe are based in the central section of the region.

 


&nbsp;The facilities join Jet Aviation’s facilities in Geneva, Basel and Moscow as authorized facilities. In addition, Alterhein’s Swiss facility is an authorized warranty center.

 


In addition to increasing its service locations, Gulfstream’s parts distribution center near London, which opened in September 2014, is now housing $120 million in parts, part of an inventory of more than $1.6 billion worldwide.
