Kerry Lynch stepped into the role of editor of the&nbsp;Aviation International News&nbsp;monthly magazine in May 2022 after serving with&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;for eight years. She joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in December 2014 as a senior editor covering Washington and business aviation news. She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003, 2024). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

Mark Van Tine, the long-time CEO of Jeppesen and vice president of digital aviation at parent company Boeing, is retiring on June 30 after a more than 35-year career with the company.&nbsp;Succeeding Van Tine in those roles is Kevin Crowley, who has been vice president of technology development at Boeing.

 


Van Tine had spent 14 years as CEO of Jeppesen and 16 years as a Boeing executive. During that time he helped in the transition of Jeppesen from paper charts to a digital format. Van Tine began his career in 1981 with flight planning and weather specialist Lockheed DataPlan, which Jeppesen acquired in 1989. He relocated to Denver in 1995 to oversee Jeppesen’s worldwide flight information development, printing and distribution operations and IT organizations. He later became chief information officer and then CEO in 2002. He also has been actively involved in aviation issues, serving as a past chairman of the General Aviation Manufacturers Association and on the board of the Experimental Aircraft Association.

 


Crowley has served with Boeing since 1989, beginning as a software engineer.&nbsp;He has held a number of positions with Boeing Commercial Airplanes and Defense and Space engineering.&nbsp;Before becoming vice president of&nbsp; technology development, he was vice president of 787 partnering for success integration in the Boeing Commercial Airplanes supplier management organization.&nbsp;

Jeppesen Names Crowley To Succeed Mark Van Tine

Van Tine will retire in June after a 35-year career with the company.
