Lombardo covers business aviation maintenance-related issues. He is also a writer and on-air reporter for AINtv. He has over 3000 articles published and is the author of several books on aircraft systems for pilots and on the topic of flight simulation.
He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in education from the University of Illinois, has taught aviation for over 35 years in industry and as a university professor and academic dean at three different universities. He is also a frequent seminar and after-dinner motivational speaker.&nbsp;
Lombardo holds an A&amp;P Certificate, ATP, CFI and Ground Instructor ratings. He was a corporate pilot and was a research pilot and flight instructor at the University of Illinois. The FAA issued a parts manufacturer approval (PMA) to Jet Aviation St. Louis to manufacture and sell individual parts to customers and suppliers. This approval means Jet Aviation St. Louis can manufacture and stock parts that are needed frequently and can sell them to customers who can install the parts themselves.

 


“PMA authorization enables Jet Aviation St. Louis to provide parts to customers, suppliers and even other aviation service centers as they are needed, reducing down time and costs for our customers,” said Stan Wierciszewski, senior manager of quality. “We began by manufacturing high-wear items to support aircraft that were previously completed at Jet Aviation St. Louis and now we can progress to including additional parts that we will stock for our customers’ convenience.”

 


All of the parts will carry a custom-designed stamp identifying them as manufactured by Jet Aviation St. Louis under the PMA rating by the FAA.
