Pilot Sentenced for False Statements on Medical

Pilot claimed he had never failed a drug test, but the FAA had pulled his certificate in 2004 after a failed drug test.

A U.S. District Court in Miami sentenced Steven Michael Demaria on June 5 to three years of probation and $1,300 in fines for making false statements on an FAA airman medical application. The court also ordered Demaria to complete 360 hours of community service.
