Jerry Johnson, the recently retired chief pilot at Pilatus PC-12 fractional provider PlaneSense, received the FAA’s Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award. The award “recognizes the efforts of pilots who have followed and continue to follow the precaution and awareness of safe flight operations.” It is given only to pilots who have contributed and maintained safe flight operations for 50 or more consecutive years of piloting aircraft. By the time Johnson retired from aviation, he had logged more than 37,000 hours TT.
