The Arizona Business Aviation Association, with assistance from NBAA, is the primary sponsor of Scottsdale SkyKids day this year. To be held on Saturday at Scottsdale (Ariz.) Airport, the event will be a “fun-filled day of flights, food and festivities” for an expected 150 children with physical or mental disabilities, or serious illnesses. It is intended to build self-esteem and confidence for special-needs kids through flight. “It’s a great event,” said Ken Casey, chairman of the Scottsdale SkyKids day and vice president of AZBAA. “It’s exciting for the kids to go out and fly. For many of them, it’s their first exposure to aviation.”
