Raisbeck Engineering’s swept-blade “turbofan propellers” for the King Air 200 series are now approved in Brazil after the Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) granted certification late last month.


A spokesperson for Raisbeck Engineering told AIN, “There are about 500 King Airs in Brazil alone, making it a major market for us. We hope that the swept-blade prop reenergizes our presence in the South American region and we’ll be focusing a lot of our attention on the market as it continues to grow.”


According to the company, the swept props, when combined with the systems included in Raisbeck’s Epic Platinum Performance package, facilitate operations to shorter runways and high and hot takeoffs and landings, making the mod ideal for the Brazilian terrain.


In addition to the Raisbeck/Hartzell swept props, the performance package systems include high-flotation gear doors (if aircraft is HFG-equipped), ram air recovery system, enhanced-performance leading edges, dual aft-body strakes and a new airplane flight manual supplement.
