He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in education from the University of Illinois, has taught aviation for over 35 years in industry and as a university professor and academic dean at three different universities. He is also a frequent seminar and after-dinner motivational speaker.&nbsp;
Lombardo holds an A&amp;P Certificate, ATP, CFI and Ground Instructor ratings. He was a corporate pilot and was a research pilot and flight instructor at the University of Illinois. Embraer named Jet Aviation Basel an authorized service center for the Embraer Legacy 600 and 650. In this capacity Jet Aviation can provide line and base maintenance for the Embraer Legacy 600 and 650. “We can now provide any kind of maintenance, exterior painting and IFE upgrades, as well as warranty and AOG support to the growing Embraer customer base in Europe, the Middle East and Asia,” said Johannes Turzer, vice president and general manager of the maintenance center at Jet Aviation Basel.
