A J Walter Aviation Builds World Headquarters

Construction is nearing completion on A J Walter Aviation’s 60-acre headquarters and logistics campus near London Gatwick Airport. The site will include a headquarters office and storage facilities for the company’s inventory of Airbus and Boeing components and consumables.

The greater capacity of the new warehouse will accommodate growing inventories of aircraft spares that are needed to service what the company describes as its expanding airline customer base. Larger items, such as engines, will also be stored in the logistics center, which complements facilities in Miami, Dubai and Singapore as well as hubs in North America and Europe.

“The new campus replaces our current office/warehouse facility about 10 miles away,” Christopher Whiteside, the company’s president, told AIN. “We needed more room for both inventory expansion and increased staff. The new multi-level headquarters includes offices, a media center, conference rooms, a restaurant and a gym. We already have 300 employees on location and we’re continuously growing.” The plan calls for the entire organization to be moved in and operational by the end of next month.
