CRS Jet Spares and AGA in Singapore Joint Venture

CRS Jet Spares and AGA Logistics and Parts signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) yesterday to form a new Singapore-based joint-venture company, CRS Asia, to support business jets operating in Australia, Southeast Asia and China.

AGA Logistics is based in Singapore, while CRS Jet Spares (Booth H111) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, specializes in tip-to-tail components for Bombardier Challenger and Learjet, Dassault Falcon, Gulfstream and Hawker Beechcraft airframes.

“Our core business is the tip-to-tail support for out-of-production or nonwarranty aircraft,” said Jack Caloras, CRS vice president of sales and operations. “Much of the news and buzz in our industry regarding this region of the world is over new deliveries. The CRS focus, however, is to follow the resale market, and indications point to this region becoming much more active in this sector.”

According to CRS founder and CEO Armando Leighton Jr., CRS has been preparing to expand into the Asian market for many years. “There have been many challenges,” he said, “but finding the right partner has been the biggest one for us in this effort. We feel the experience and expertise, coupled with the Singapore location, makes our new partners the perfect group to work with.”
