Premier Turbines Invests in M250 Facility

MRO Premier Turbines has invested more than $1 million in a realignment of its Neosho, Mo. Rolls-Royce M250 repair and overhaul area. The goal was to facilitate production efficiency and reduce turn time with improvements touching on all aspects of the program, including test-cell upgrades, additional tooling and shop aids, and a reflow of the production floor layout.

Hugh McElroy, president of BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul, Premier’s parent company, told AIN, “Improvements include operational re-engineering to facilitate lean production flow that will shorten turn times by 25 percent. We also employed green technology to reduce consumption of electricity and water by 30 percent while accomplishing the same job.”
