Conklin and de Decker To Host Helo Safety Seminar

Conklin & de Decker will be holding its Helicopter Maintenance Management Seminar–called “Essential Tools for Your New Maintenance Manager’s Role”–in Irving, Texas, February 15 through 17. “If you’re a maintenance technician and you’re doing well in your job, you’re likely to get promoted to management. The problem is that you’ve probably had no exposure to the basics of management, and certainly not as they apply to aircraft maintenance management, during your career. This seminar, designed and taught by helicopter people for helicopter people, will make sure the maintenance technician has the appropriate tools to manage personnel in the maintenance department, interact with other departments and consume the organization’s resources efficiently,” Bill de Decker, the company’s president, told AIN. The seminar is taught by Brandon Battles, the company’s vice president, and Gary Potochnik, FAA designated airworthiness representative, who have taught the course’s content for 15 years. The course focuses on the principles of management, financial management, inventory, information systems and regulatory issues. Cost for attending the seminar is $995 per person, with a $100 early-registration discount in effect until January 24.
