Air Works AMRO vice president K. V. Krishnan told AIN, “The presence in Trichy was driven by our customer Tiger Airways’ requirements. We have technicians and qualified engineers for the A320 family. The station has all tools and equipment to handle a daily check, including wheel and brake change tooling.” Air Works will work in coordination with its EASA-, DGCA- and GCAA-approved base maintenance facility at Hosur, near Bangalore, to provide checks up to C3 for the Airbus A320, ATR 42/72 and Boeing 737NG. It will also provide defect rectification and AOG support. “Air Works intends to be present at multiple international airports in India to better serve its customers. Currently we provide base maintenance at Bengaluru International Airport and expect to expand to Chennai, Calicut, Trivandrum, Mumbai and Delhi progressively during this calendar year,” Krishnan said.
