Ocean Sky Acquires Hangar
Ocean Sky has signed an agreement to buy a maintenance hangar from Monarch Engineering at London’s Luton Airport, doubling its ramp space there. The UK-based business aviation services group opened its new FBO at Luton in April 2009, and after the acquisition of the Monarch hangar the total aircraft parking area will measure 120,000 sq ft–more than twice the area that it could offer a year ago.

The 46,000-sq-ft Monarch hangar can fit two Boeing 757s. Ocean Sky (Booth No. 1449) plans to create 10 additional maintenance technician jobs at its Luton base and add a full interior shop at the new hangar. The company wants to establish a Bombardier authorized service center at Luton and it recently started providing line maintenance of Dassault Falcon jets there.
