Embraer delivers first Phenom 300, Meets Bizav Goal for 2009

Embraer is looking back at a relatively successful 2009.

Embraer is looking back at a relatively successful 2009. The Brazilian manufacturer delivered a total of 244 airplanes, two more than its goal for the year, and 115 of them were business jets, 79 more than were delivered in 2008.

The jump in shipments can be explained by the ramping up of deliveries of Embraer’s $3.745 million Phenom 100. The five-passenger
very light jet was certified in December 2008 and two were delivered before the end of that year. The company delivered 93 Phenom 100s last year. On the other hand, deliveries of the well established, super-midsize $27.45 million Legacy 600 totaled 33 in 2008 but dropped to 18 last year.
