<a href="http://eclipse%20aerospace:20//www.ainonline.com/news/single-news-page/article/eclipse-rises-again-in-albuquerque/" target="_blank">Eclipse Aerospace</a>, formerly Eclipse Aviation, has vacated its $8 million factory service center on Albany International Airport. Instead, the company purchased North American Jet Maintenance on Chicago Executive Airport and plans to use it as an Eclipse platinum-level service center. Cary Winter, Eclipse Aerospace chief service engineer, will serve as the senior manager. 
 Doug Myers, director of public affairs for the Albany County Airport Authority, told AIN for a while the company paid $13,375 a month, half the actual monthly rent, to keep the possibility open it might be able to raise the necessary funds to keep the business viable. 
 “They have now stopped making payments and we are actively looking for a new tenant,” Myers told AIN. The bankrupt Eclipse still owes the airport $167,555 in rent and utilities on the facility, which had been open for about 18 months. “I don’t anticipate we’re ever going to see the money,” he said. 
 The 42,800-sq-ft facility includes a 30,000-sq-ft hangar with a sophisticated fire suppressant system (it can cover the hangar floor with five feet of fire retardant foam within three to five minutes), maintenance space totaling 7,416 sq ft and more than 5,000 sq ft of office space. The airport authority still has $7 million in bonds outstanding from the original construction.
