Online Logbook System Adds Mx Enhancement
AircraftLogs.com has added new maintenance features to its online logbook system.

AircraftLogs.com has added new maintenance features to its online logbook system. Users of the Columbus, Ohio, company’s online system can now receive automatic alerts when the FAA issues new service bulletins and Airworthiness Directives, thanks to an arrangement with maintenance data publisher Aircraft Technical Publishers (ATP). The relationship with ATP allows users to add automated inspection schedules for each aircraft, updated monthly and incorporating all Chapter 4, 5 and 12 items, as well as ADs and service bulletins. When making log entries of inspections, the technician can select from applicable inspections using a drop-down menu instead of typing in the information. Another handy feature that will make logbook research much easier is cross-referencing of source documents. If a log entry generates an 8130 form, for example, the entry is linked to the form. Pre-filled maintenance release language is now available, and users can write their own wording for filling in maintenance entries, too. Finally, for remote logbook viewing, AircraftLogs.com allows users to send an email with a link providing 30-day read-only access to the logs.
