Jet Aviation (Booth No. 1147) is steadily expanding its presence in the fast-growing Middle Eastern and Asian markets. The company announced a memorandum of understanding with Airod, Malaysia’s leading aerospace MRO company, to offer FBO, line maintenance and AOG services at Kuala Lumpur’s Subang Airport, starting in August 2008. The Swiss company also announced that it is adding a Gulfstream G550 to be based in Zurich and Tokyo, and that Jet Professionals, the company’s pilot placement and contract pilot service, is considering opening an office in the Middle East.
André Wall, COO of Jet Aviation, Europe, The Middle East and Asia (EMEA), said, “Many of the Malaysia-based aircraft are already served by Jet Aviation, and together with Airod we shall be able to support these jets locally.” The joint facility features a 52,000-sq-ft hangar housing maintenance and repair shops, as well as component overhaul facilities, plus a 3,000-sq-ft FBO terminal.
