Tyrolean Jet Services of Innsbruck is here at EBACE for the sixth time, exhibiting its charter expertise to attendees (Booth No. 526). Austria’s oldest executive aircraft operator and the largest in the western part of the country, Tyrolean was founded in 1976 as the flight department of the Swarovski Group–manufacturer of crystal, jewelry and optical systems. It currently operates a charter fleet of six aircraft–five of which it owns and one it manages on behalf of a large Austrian corporation.
The fleet includes a Cessna Citation CJ2, a Citation VII, a Dornier 328Jet with a corporate shuttle interior accommodating up to 29 passengers, another Dornier 328 with a 14-seat executive interior and two Bombardier Global Express long-range jets. The Citations and the Dorniers (the latter offering a 1,670-nm range) fly mostly in Europe, while the Global Expresses travel between five continents. The company said it has no plans to acquire more aircraft in the near term, but business is good in Austria and it expects to expand in the future.
