FlightSafety adds G1000 to online training lineup

Garmin has selected FlightSafety International as the “preferred online training provider” for the G1000, the avionics suite that Cessna chose for the Cita

Garmin has selected FlightSafety International as the “preferred online training provider” for the G1000, the avionics suite that Cessna chose for the Citation Mustang. Scheduled for release in April, the online course will provide initial familiarization training to Mustang pilots in advance of their initial training in a FlightSafety full flight simulator.

Announced last month, the deal also lays the groundwork for FlightSafety to provide generic G1000 training to pilots of single-engine light airplanes equipped with the glass cockpit. FlightSafety said it might develop additional aircraft-specific training depending on demand. The courses will be conducted through FlightSafety’s eLearning training center, available to pilots and mechanics over the Internet.
