The Hangar, an aircraft maintenance and repair facility located on the Panola County Airport in Batesville, Miss., has recently been approved by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to perform component repair and overhaul for non-U.S.-based companies.
According to Theresa Hankins, director of sales/component repair, “As an authorized EASA facility we can expand into the global market of aeronautical component repair and perform dual releases through our Batesville facility. The Hangar will be able to engage in repair/overhaul on sheet metal and composite items such as cowlings, elevators, flaps, rudders and much more. This new certification also allows The Hangar to be of service to regional and international airlines.”
The Hangar is a Cessna-authorized independent NDI facility with Level III capabilities and Class III airframe ratings. Using its Level III NDI capabilities, it has traveled throughout the U.S. inspecting corporate aircraft as well as large passenger jets, performing X-ray, eddy current, ultrasonic, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle and bond testing. Hankins said the company’s main expertise is in aircraft structural repairs and modifications as well as all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. The Hangar also has locations at the Wilson Air Center on Memphis International Airport and on Shreveport Regional Airport, La.
