Collins Aerospace Expands MRO Capacity in Asia-Pacific
Two new facilities at existing sites will drive considerable expansion in Collins Aerospace’s ability to deliver and streamline its regional MRO services.

Collins Aerospace has announced two initiatives that will increase its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capacity at two sites in the Asia-Pacific region, representing an investment of more than $27 million. Over $11m of that is being allocated to relocating its operation at Xiamen in China, nearly doubling its footprint by moving from a 50,000-square foot facility to a new site with 80,000 sq ft of workspace. Multiple Collins products will be supported from there, such as fuel control systems, avionics, evacuation slides, rescue hoists, and engine vane actuators. A wide spectrum of aircraft types will be supported, ranging from Airbus A350, A330neo and Boeing 787, to general aviation types and helicopters. MRO support will also cover Collins products aboard Chinese airliners, including the ARJ21 and C919.
