Singapore and Dublin-based lessor BOC Aviation reached a major milestone in its relationship with Boeing when it delivered its 250th aircraft from the U.S. manufacturer—a 737-800—to a Chinese airline late last month. BOC Aviation ranked as Boeing’s largest lessor in 2017, and its cumulative orders for new Boeing aircraft has reached 352, consisting of 296 airplanes from the 737 family, forty-two 777s, and six 787s. The lessor's orderbook includes 102 airplanes due for delivery from Boeing before 2021, including ten 737 Max narrowbodies for which BOC served as the launch customer.

“The delivery of our 250th aircraft from Boeing speaks to the close cooperation that has characterized our two companies,” said BOC Aviation CEO Robert Martin. “Reflecting the speed with which we have achieved this milestone, it is fitting that we have delivered our 250th Boeing aircraft to a Chinese carrier, coming from the fastest growing major aviation market.”

BOC Aviation took delivery of 74 aircraft overall in 2017, including three acquired by airline customers upon delivery. It’s schedule for this year already calls for delivery of 53 airplanes.
