Europe's Regionals Back on Track Ahead of ERA Assembly

Revitalized members of the European Regions Airline Association prepares for new legislative season wary of bureaucratic frustrations

Bosses of Europe’s regional airlines hope that this year’s October 11 to 13 European Regions Airline Association (ERA) General Assembly in the Spanish capital Madrid will mark a turning point in attitudes toward their industry. They have turned the proverbial corner financially to some extent, despite the prolonged European recession, in part thanks to lower fuel prices. However, their task remains to convince European Union officials in Brussels and national politicians of the true value of their industry sector.
