Dornier 328 Gets ‘Major’ Upgrade

The upgrade adds features such as new Primus Elite LCD display with charts and maps, enhanced vision and video display capabilities.

Dornier 328 Jet and turboprop type certificate holder 328 Support Services has launched a major cockpit upgrade program for the airplanes, the German company announced last month. Scheduled for EASA and FAA certification in late 2016, the upgrade involves a partnership between current avionics system provider Honeywell and a number of “strategic” customers to add features such as new Primus Elite LCD display with charts and maps, enhanced vision, video display capabilities and optional synthetic vision.
