Atlanta-based Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA) last month launched a new code-share partnership with United Airlines covering flights into and out of Chicago O’Hare and Washington Dulles International Airports. ASA began the service with a February 11 flight between O’Hare and Columbus, Ohio. It now flies eight weekday flights from O’Hare and 15 weekday flights from Dulles using eight newly refurbished 50-seat Bombardier CRJ200s.

From Dulles, ASA now flies to former Mesa Air Group destinations Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio; Columbia, S.C.; Huntsville, Ala.; New York La Guardia and JFK Airports; Pensacola, Fla.; Roanoke, Va.; and Savannah, Ga. From Chicago, it flies to all those destinations except the two New York City airports, as well as to South Bend, Ind., and Rochester, N.Y.

Under the terms of the deal with United, ASA will next add six more CRJ200s to the operation in May, bringing the average number of weekday flights to 90 and the total number of cities served by ASA in the United Express network to 21.

ASA recently opened a new domicile at Washington Dulles for 120 crewmembers and seven mechanics to support the operation.
