Since its launch in 2020, CORE has streamlined RTX facilities, improved strategic initiatives and simplified its supply chain with more than 80,000 employees trained and certified in CORE.</p>
<p>Examples of CORE abound. CORE’s success includes an 8% improvement in Collins’ on-time delivery in its nacelle business across seven factories. Raytheon has reduced the production of the AMRAAM guidance section hardware flow cycle time by 1.8 days by using cell design and line balancing. Overall, CORE has contributed to more than $2 billion in gross product and non-product savings.</p>
<h2>Digital Infrastructure, Transformed</h2>
<p>RTX is revolutionizing its digital infrastructure by integrating artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation and connected equipment into its factories. The digitization of the product life cycle in more than 20 programs has improved efficiency and reduced the design cycle times by up to 30% for software-intensive programs.</p>
<p>Collins Aerospace factories are adopting a digital manufacturing execution system that replaces the traditional paper-based process and establishes the Manufacturing segment of the digital thread, connecting all points of the business and enabling Industry 4.0 transformation. At Pratt &amp; Whitney, digital tools are eliminating the need for manual handoffs of data between engineering teams working on rigs for aircraft engines, resulting in reduced design, manufacturing and inspection time. Last year, RTX connected 20 factories to provide operators with real-time data for better resource management, with plans to connect an additional 20 factories by year-end.</p>
