Associations Ask FAA: Withdraw AC On Field Approval Data
The associations want the FAA to withdraw AC 42-210A and work with industry on a better solution.

The Aeronautical Repair Station Association (ARSA) and several other industry groups have asked the FAA to withdraw draft Advisory Circular 43-210A, “Standardized Procedures for Requesting Field Approval of Data, Major Alterations and Repairs” and “instead work with industry to clarify existing information and guidance on approving data for major repairs and alterations.” The groups are planning to hold four online sessions to examine these issues and then discuss possible resolutions with the FAA, ARSA said.
