Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Saab 340 operator Silver Airways announced last month that it will add nearly 40 percent more flights to its intra-Florida network, starting November 6. The plan calls for more service to and from Fort Lauderdale, Key West, Orlando, Fort Myers, Tampa, Pensacola and Tallahassee. Once complete, the expansion will see it operate 560 flights each week to 10 Florida cities, including 15 nonstop routes within the state. The airline’s 27 Saab 340Bs now fly some 180 times a day to and from 38 destinations in Florida, the Bahamas, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio and Washington, D.C.
