Elbit’s Vision: Aircraft Landings with 1,000-foot RVR

Company announced a new enhanced vision sensor and ClearVision combined vision system.

With the 1,500th enhanced vision system (EVS) recently delivered, Elbit Systems unveiled a number of developments as part of its ClearVision situational awareness enhancement range this week at NBAA 2014. Among the aims is to gain credits for landing with a 1,000-foot runway visual range (RVR), equating roughly to a 50-foot decision height.
