Caravan Rebuilder Offering PT6 Conversions
The specialty Cessna Caravan modification provider owns many STCs for improving the single-engine turboprop.

Aircraft Structures International Corp. (ASIC) of Enid, Okla., serves operators of the single-engine turboprop Cessna Caravan exclusively. The company, which specializes in Caravan modifications and upgrades, maintains a stock of wings and flight controls for immediate exchange and possesses jigs that make it possible to rebuild an entire aircraft.

Mickey Stowers, ASIC’s president, said the company is developing numerous supplemental type certificates (STCs) to enhance the already impressive characteristics of the Caravan. This year, ASIC is be featuring at the NBAA convention its Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-140 engine conversion for the Caravan, along with four other STCs.
