Honeywell has announced that it is partnering with GMF AeroAsia to maintain the 131-9A auxiliary power units for the new Airbus A320 fleet being acquired by Garuda Indonesia. The first five of a 25-aircraft order are being delivered this year, with the last due in 2018. As the OEM for the 131-9A APU, Honeywell is ideally placed to oversee the through-life management of the APU. It also has a well-established APU facility in Singapore, with 36 years of experience. GMF AeroAsia was founded in 1984 as Garuda Maintenance Facilities, and the Garuda airline remains its biggest client.
