CABAA Visual Departure Approved for Chicago Executive Airport
CABAA Visual Departure for KPWK

Jeppesen will this week publish the new CABAA Visual Departure from Chicago Executive Airport (KPWK), 10 nm north of Chicago’s O’Hare International. The procedure was developed in 2011 by the FAA with help from the ATC Committee of the Chicago Area Business Aviation Association (CABAA), to minimize takeoff delays with the opening of Runway 27R at ORD. The new visual departure procedure, used in conjunction with an IFR clearance when departing Runway 16 at PWK, speeds departures, but makes pilots responsible for aircraft separation and avoidance of Class B airspace until IFR control is provided by TRACON.
