A lifelong aviation enthusiast who joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in 2007, Curt came to&nbsp;the publication&nbsp;from the broadcast industry where he was a national science and technology television reporter and producer. He writes on the FBO field, aviation finance, and sustainable aviation and occasionally contributes to&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;sister publication&nbsp;Business Jet Traveler. Curt was a member of the AINtv reporting staff that won the 2008 Aerospace Journalist of the Year award for Best Airshow Daily. That same year, he was a finalist for another AJOYA award. He earned an AJOYA for Best Business Aviation Submission in 2018 and was a finalist in that category in 2021. He received the National Air Transportation Association’s&nbsp; Aviation Journalist Award in 2012 and won a Pegasus Sapphire Business Aviation Award for outstanding journalism in 2021.
Before joining AIN, Curt worked with&nbsp;Consumer Reports’ television division, CRTV, and for several local television news staffs. An honors graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, he earned a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University in 1995. Curt lives in New York State with his wife and two young sons.

Jet Aviation announced last month that Peter Edwards has resigned as president of the company. The General Dynamics subsidiary said Edwards will assist in the transition to new leadership before his departure at the end of August.
“I want to express my sincere thanks to Peter Edwards for leading the Jet Aviation group over the past four years,” said General Dynamics Aerospace Group executive vice president Joe Lombardo, who will temporarily assume Edwards’s position in addition to his role as president of Gulfstream. “Since the <a href="?q=node/18908">acquisition</a> [of Jet Aviation] by General Dynamics in late 2008, Peter diligently maintained Jet Aviation’s position as the leading independent service provider in the market to all OEMs.”
Edwards joined Jet Aviation in May 2007 as CEO, succeeding interim chief executive Carl&nbsp;Hirschmann, and oversaw the successful sale and transition to General Dynamics the following year. Tasked with expanding the company’s business aviation services, he led the Zurich-based firm through expansion of its Middle Eastern operations and the creation of new facilities in Russia, Brazil and Asia.
Before joining Jet Aviation, Edwards was president of Bombardier’s business aircraft division. He has served on the boards of several industry organizations, including GAMA and NBAA.
