Component Control Software Saves Time
Rotorcraft Leasing, a provider of helicopter services to the oil and gas industry, credits business-management software from Component Control for slashing inventory time and costs. San Diego-based Component Control (Booth No.1306) is at Heli-Expo to acquaint companies ranging from OEMs to FBOs and completion centers with its Quantum Control software for barcode scanning and physical inventory management. Joyce Cornett of Rotorcraft Leasing noted that with the Quantum Control software, “To our surprise we completed the physical inventory of 10 bases and our parts distribution center by the third week in December [2009]. Prior to 2009 we couldn’t complete the physical inventory by year’s end.” The Quantum Control program combines manufacturing, shop-floor control, inventory, accounting, sales and invoicing into an integrated software suite.
Paradise Selects SkyBooks for Record Keeping
Paradise Helicopters, a Hawaiian air-tour and utility-services provider, announced at Heli-Expo it has selected SkyBooks (Booth No. 132), a Textron company and Bell Helicopter affiliate, to help with record-keeping. Paradise, which operates three Bell 407s and three MD 500Es, chose SkyBooks after a 90-day free trial of its online flight-operations and maintenance-tracking program.
