Sikorsky and the Tata Group have signed an agreement for the Indian enterprise to build cabins for the S-92 helicopter. Tata Advanced Systems Ltd. will establish a new facility at a greenfield site in Hyderabad, and is due to begin deliveries from late 2010. While the deal represents the first manufacturing agreement for Sikorsky in India, parent company United Technologies already has a significant aerospace presence through its Hamilton Sundstrand and Pratt & Whitney subsidiaries.
