Abu Dhabi’s Prestige Jet (Stand E322), a year-old business aircraft charter and management service, sees growth in the private air travel market fueling its need for more aircraft.
Currently using Bombardier Challenger 601/604 and Gulfstream III large business jets, the company has two Grob SPn light business jets on order for delivery next year, and may announce more orders here at the Dubai Air Show.
“Business has exceeded our expectations since we were launched last summer,” said Prestige Jet chairman HE Ghaith Ben Hamil Al Ghaith. “As a result, we are actively seeking to increase the size of our fleet and the services we offer.”
Businessmen and government leaders across the Middle East “are increasingly aware of the benefits in efficiency and productivity that private jet travel can bring,” he said, adding that the market has experienced “double-digit growth in demand in the Middle East region over the past few years.” He attributes this growth, in part, to Abu Dhabi and other Arab countries becoming hubs for business and foreign investment.
However, said Al Ghaith, “One cannot deny that competition is also increasing the availability of this form of travel.” Prestige Jet’s answer to the challenge centers on building a diversified fleet of business aircraft. “This affords us greater flexibility to use both commercial and private airfields as starting points, which can save passengers an enormous amount of time,” he concluded.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
