CMC Electronics (Stand E230) is providing its new TacView portable mission display for AC-130 gunships operated by U.S. Air Force special operations units in conflicts such as Afghanistan and Iraq. The displays come in a dual installation for paperless cockpit operations, including aircraft data and procedures manuals, interactive electronic charts and improved situational awareness, using USAF’s Falcon- View mission planning system.
TacView consists of a self-contained night-vision imaging system, compatible smart display and companion power supply/interface module. It provides functionality enhancements for military transports, fighters and helicopters, without the need to modify the aircraft’s existing operational flight program.
