Canadian simulator maker CAE notched sales of three of the company’s 7000 Series full-flight simulators in deals valued at around $45 million. The contracts cover a Boeing 747-8 Freighter simulator for Cargolux International Airlines, a Boeing 777-300ER for Dubai flag carrier Emirates and an Embraer ERJ-145 destined for Hainan Airlines, China’s fourth largest air carrier.

These orders bring total sales of CAE simulators booked for the first quarter to 13, the company said. All of them will be approved to level-D standard, the industry’s highest. The CAE simulators included in these three most recent sales will incorporate the manufacturer’s Tropos-6000 visual system and liquid-crystal-on-silicon projectors for improved image fidelity, the manufacturer said.
