Tom Appleton retired as president and CEO of Piaggio America, effective January 28.

Tom Appleton retired as president and CEO of Piaggio America, effective January 28. He was replaced by Eric Hinson, a former U.S. Navy pilot and test director who has served in various senior executive roles. Appleton will remain non-executive chairman of Piaggio America and will continue to support parent company Piaggio Aero. Piaggio Aero Industries named Ugo Anatra general manager, Roberto Ciech COO and Giuliano Felten commercial and strategic procurement director. Anatra was most recently the company’s CFO and director of information systems.

Michael Moore has been named v-p of operations and program management at Associated Air Center, a Landmark Aviation company at Dallas Love Field. Moore joined the organization last year as program management leader. He was previously v-p and general manager at Timcom Aviation Services and director of operations for Northwest Airlines.
