Pratt &amp; Whitney WSK PZL-Rzészow has inaugurated a new facility at Rzészow, Poland to assemble and test F100-PW-229 engines powering the country’s 48 F-16 fighters. The first engine was completed at the facility just before the Farnborough show.

In a separate announcement at the show, P&amp;W said its F-117 engine powering the Boeing C-17 Globemaster airlifter had completed more than four million hours of service with the U.S. Air Force and UK Royal Air Force.
